Terms of Service
Last updated: April 25, 2026
1. Who we are
Slaydate is operated by Fae Software Inc. ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the Slaydate website, web app, and APIs (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Slaydate is
Slaydate is an event management tool for Blood on the Clocktower communities. Organizers create events, manage signups and waitlists, assign players to rooms, and capture stories from games played. Players sign up for events and view stories afterward. Storytellers can connect the Blocktower companion app to push grimoire images and game narratives back to Slaydate events.
Blood on the Clocktower is a product of The Pandemonium Institute. Slaydate is independent and unaffiliated with The Pandemonium Institute.
3. Accounts and access
Slaydate is currently available by invitation only. We use magic link authentication: you sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
We may suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these terms or behavior that harms the community or other users.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or impersonate others.
- Upload illegal, defamatory, or infringing content.
- Attempt to access accounts, events, or data that do not belong to you.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent rate limits.
- Resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written consent.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit to Slaydate (event details, stories, grimoire images, names, descriptions). You grant us a limited license to host, store, display, and share that content as needed to operate the Service. Organizers are responsible for the content of their events and the conduct of their events. Storytellers are responsible for the grimoire images and stories they push from Blocktower.
We may remove content that violates these terms or that we believe in good faith violates the law.
6. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Using the Service means you accept how we collect and use information as described there.
7. Beta status
Slaydate is in private beta. Features may change, break, or disappear. We may add, remove, or modify any part of the Service at any time. We are not liable for data loss during the beta period, though we will do what is reasonable to avoid it.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred Canadian dollars, whichever is greater.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will let you know by email or by a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Ontario.
